Dr. Wolfgang Messner | Pratibha Messner
Wolfgang Messner is Director of GloBus Research - Messner Consulting & Training Pvt. Ltd. and Professor of International Management at MYRA School of Business. He has written seven books, most recently Winning the Right Job (2015; with Pratibha Messner), Making the Compelling Business Case (2013), Globalization of Professional Services (2012; co-editors Ulrich Bäumer, Peter Kreutter), and Intelligent IT Offshoring to India (2010). His many academic and practitioner publications deal with business transformation, the business impact of information technology, and intercultural collaboration. Having worked in senior management positions with leading corporates and consulting firms (BMW Group, Capgemini, Deutsche Bank, The Information Management Group IMG) in Europe and India, he now undertakes research, gives keynote presentations, runs workshops, and consults globally on strategic business transformation projects. Wolfgang Messner holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Kassel, an M.B.A. in Financial Management with distinction from the University of Wales, and a first-class Master's degree in Informatics after studies at the Technical University Munich and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He also attended executive education on Strategic Marketing Management at Harvard Business School.

As a Principal and Offshore Service Delivery Director, Wolfgang was engaged in multiple roles across Europe and India. While initially responsible for
board-level mandated consulting projects around customer service excellence and operations, he moved to India for 2.5 years on an expatriate assignment to ramp up the
offshore application development and maintenance service delivery for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He developed go-to-market strategies, managed
globally distributed RfPs, and actively represented the firm in several client events and international conferences.

As Visiting Professor for Marketing, Wolfgang accepted an invitation to design
and lecture a PGSEM (MBA) course on customer relationship management strategies,
processes, and technologies. He researched customer loyalty in India's banking
BMW Group (Germany)
Senior Management Consultant for customer relationship management, Wolfgang
supported Softlab's European subsidiaries with expert advice in RfPs for the
financial services industry. He kick-started consulting projects, represented
the firm in conferences, fairs, and party congresses. Wolfgang consulted
Germany's leading political party on designing and implementing a citizen
relationship management system ahead of general elections; he also advised an
international chemical company on supporting the request-2-order process with a

Wolfgang was a
Managing Consultant for customer relationship management, business process
reengineering, and outsourcing of backoffice processes; he lead a team of
business consultants and liased with the firm's global CRM competence centre in
Switzerland. He headed various business change projects in global and
medium-sized financial services institutions and investment banks in Central
Europe with a focus on getting value out of their customer relationship
management programs, processes, and supporting system. For an outsourced service
center, he developed a service offering to process paper-based payments and
coordinated the project from business case to production start.
Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Software India Pvt. Ltd.
(Germany and India)
In this first professional job after graduation from university, Wolfgang
redesigned core banking software modules around commitment fees and initiated
the implementation of a global credit line management system. As
Program Manager for EMU software development he piloted the inclusion of
offshore resources into core banking software development. During a one-year
expatriate assignment to India, he delivered the Euro conversion project with
his team at the bank's captive unit in Bangalore.

Pratibha Messner is Director of GloBus Research with international experience in project management, risk management, and service provider governance across Germany, India, Singapore, Switzerland, U.K., and U.S.A. This includes setting up strategic functions in operational risk and control, deploying global systems, transition of service centre operations, disaster recovery testing, and building resiliency in daily operations for Deutsche Bank in Germany, India, and U.K. She has worked extensively with the outsourcing and offshoring models developing collaborative relationships between clients and service providers to deliver tangible results. Pratibha Messner holds an M.B.A. from Ashridge Management College, City University London and a B.E. Bachelor of Engineering with distinction from Bangalore University; she is a certified Project Management Professional from PMI. She has co-authored the book Winning the Right Job (2015; with Wolfgang Messner).

In this investment banking role, Pratibha's key responsibility was to build the operational risk and control function for the European middle office and
financial control divisions of the bank's derivatives business.
acatech (Germany) 2010
As project manager, she worked with leading members of the industry and academia in India and Germany to launch acatech's first international
project promoting co-operation in research and development with India. acatech is a non-profit national academy in Germany supporting policy-makers and
society with qualified evaluations and recommendations.
Deutsche Bank (Germany and India) 2001-2009
Pratibha was engaged in multiple roles across the areas of technology, business continuity, and operational risk management. While initially
responsible for implementing automation projects in payment processing across European branches (2001-2005), she moved to risk management to deploy
global business continuity systems and run large-scale data centre recovery tests in Europe (2005-2007) before being seconded to India as Head of
Operational Risk Management for Deutsche Bank in India (2007-2009).

Pratibha was a software developer working on e-commerce consulting assignments for various clients in the USA (Seattle and California) and Switzerland.
